About us

Piedritas de Esperanza was founded by Carolina Alfonso Arenas and John Rotgers in May 2006. Let us introduce ourselves:

The President of Piedritas de Esperanza, Carolina Alfonso Arenas, was born in Bogota (Colombia) in 1978. After following her Business Administration study in Colombia and France, with a focus on NGO's, she finished a Master in International Business at the University of Montpellier. Carolina worked for LBH, Weton-Wesgram, TSP and Amgen. Currently Carolina is working at Nutricia (Danone) as Area Supply Manager for Asia and Latin-America.

John Rotgers, Treasurer and Secretary of Piedritas de Esperanza, was born in 1975 in Oulu (Finland). The Dutchman followed his Business Administration study at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam. After his studies he worked as an internet consultant for two Rotterdam based internet companies. From 2003 to 2007 he was marketing manager at IT-company Centric. Currently he is working at TNT Post as a manager marketing E-commerce.
